Ram Bahadur Bomjon - The boy with limitless Powers

This very fabulous boy is not fictitious, nor just a fluke for any money making business. Ram Bahadur Bomjon also called 'The Buddha Boy', born c. 9 April 1990, is from Ratanapuri village, Nepal. He's no equal to other children of his age. His way of life is completely different and very eccentric too. His powers has exceeded any spiritual leaders ability. What great monks, spiritual leaders, Saints can't do, this boy can perform those unimaginable arts, as easy as drawing a cup of water from a sea. He's no normal form of Human Being. His body is completely soaked up in a syrup of divinity, spirituality and immortality.

The Buddha Boy is known for his practice of meditation for over long periods without consuming any food or water. This method of surviving without food and water for several days is called Inedia or breatharianism. This may look very tumultuous and unbelievable as it seems, but rather the fact. Ram Bomjon meditated for over ten months under the same divine tree and had promised his mother (before he could go meditate), he would continue doing it for 6 years continuously. This holy place soon turned into a tourist attraction and media's most favorite spot, which reportedly disturbed his meditation process. He left the place on March 16, 2006 (i.e. 10 months of meditation) proclaiming to find a better place to continue his meditation.

The boy did not eat, nor drink anything over his period of meditation. To verify whether his work of meditation was genuine or some money propaganda, worldwide renowned Channel The Discovery, had him monitored for over a week using cameras all over the place. Although there were some controversies regarding his monitoring, they somehow managed to shoot him for several days.During monitoring, Buddha Boy was found sweating around his head although the surrounding temperature was 16^o C. Later the reason was said to be due to some extreme powers of meditation which the Buddhist monks keep it secretive till today.
 According to biologists, a person cannot survive without water for more than 3 days or 4. But this boy made miracle and created a questioning among the biologists. Many neuroscientist and biologist had asked the committee members to get his blood sample for test, but the request was disregarded and he was never tested physically.

After his evacuation from Ratanapuri village, many controversies was raised over the place and many buildings and fences were destroyed which was built by his own brother for protection and well being. The exact living of Bomjon is unknown. He was last spotted on March 26, 2007 meditating inside an underground chamber. It is also said that he reappeared on 10 November 2008, spoke to a group of devotees in the remote jungle. Looking at his extreme impracticable superpower, one may easily christen him "THE BUDDHA BOY", an ultimate disciple of Gautama Buddha.

Breathalyzer is a simple device usually used to identify the alcohol content ( a.k.a  Blood Alcohol Content) in a person's breath.

This simple and portable device, invented by Robert Frank Borkenstein, an unrecognized inventor, who made possible for the cops to capture drunk drivers at smooth hands. Before the invention of this device, police officers investigating an accident or noticing a weaving car looked for symptoms like a flushed face, slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. If the suspect then went to sleep in the police station, they might have sufficient basis for charges and further punishment. Or the other way was to get their blood samples and test them in a laboratory, which was an uphill task for the police force. 

 Working: Breath analyzers do not directly measure blood alcohol content or concentration, which requires the analysis of a blood sample. Instead, they estimate Blood Alcohol Content ( BAC) indirectly by measuring the amount of alcohol in one's breath. It just measures the proportion of alcohol vapors in exhaled air, a proportion that reflects the content of alcohol in the blood. The device is kept in suspect's mouth for a matter of seconds and the reading shows the Blood Alcohol Level. If this reading is above the normal level, he is convicted to the police station and further action is taken against the convict.

Rubik's Cube - Happy Birthday :)

Coloured cube which played its own mind bending game on each kid, children and even older person is the Rubik's Cube(Magic Cube).  Today it turned 40 and let's wish him with a humming birthday song.

Rubik's Cube was invented by Ernő Rubik, an Hungarian inventor who showed his keen interest in puzzle stuff. The Rubik's Cube consists of twenty-six unique miniature cubes, also called "cubies" or "cubelets". Each of these includes a concealed inward extension that interlocks with the other cubes, while permitting them to move to different locations. In a classic Rubik's Cube, each of the six faces is covered by nine stickers, each of one of six solid colours (white, red, blue, orange, green, and yellow; in currently sold models, white is opposite yellow, blue is opposite green, and orange is opposite red, and the red, white and blue are arranged in that order in a clockwise arrangement). It is said that then own inventor of this ingenious cube Erno Rubik, took long time to solve the puzzle.  It's not easy to describe 3-D cube. It's better to feel the way it is.

Rainbowing - The Ultimate Sand Mining

Rainbowing is the act of dredging sand from sea or any deep area, for construction purpose. This process uses a dredging ship which propels sand from the deep sea, as easy as pouring gallons of water. This technique is usually used in constructing artificial archipelago or artificial Islands over the sea. The name "Rainbowing"  is derived from the appearance of the arc, which closely resembles a brown-colored rainbow.

These ships scoops up sand from sea bed, exhaust them through a pipe at speeds up to 10 m/s. Large quantity of water present along with the sand, gives the mixture (called Slurry) a huge thrust and can be propelled through a long distance as needed.

They appear as if they have some extraterrestrial alien powers. They just fly in air, perform parkour still stunts, dance colored balls, without any kind of support and balance. They are Magicians!!  This technique use different lighting colors to deceive the eye witness audience. The whole performance stage is illuminated by high ultra-violet lights and these makes us to see only things which Fighting Gravity wants us to see and hide the rest other things. Light is a basic need for our vision and FG technique uses these lights of different bandwidth which human eye is not sensitive to. The performers costumes are coated with special fluorescent chemicals which observe these U-V lights and makes only those parts visible but none surrounding these men. I think you got the point. As black appears to us as nothing, the stunt makers are dressed black and cannot be seen in U-V lights. But when U-V lights are switched off and fed lights are switched on, one can clearly understand the indigenous trick behind the skills. One of the mystery is solved. Now the other is that how these performers are able to fly around like a superman. Well, the answer is unknown and its fighting gravity's secret. But if we give our second thought over it, the key to the answer may be found. May be the black group behind the performers are lifting them all around or are they using some special invisible wires to hover them around. The answer is yes, but with a little correction. The performers as seen by audience are not really humans at all. The black people behind these photo-fluorescence mask, turn these costumes up and down, displaying their skills. Isn't this crazy enough?  Another question is, how do they walk at heights? Well, the answer is simple. They use preset wooden planks arrangement on which they walk on. As all these are painted black its impossible to see them. Perhaps all these are just guesses and none of these are officially revealed by the team.

Space Pen - Any Direction, Any medium

                                                                                After looking this image one may question himself "How come that guy over there is writing underwater?" rather than "What is he writing over there?" Well its pretty upsetting that we have lost so many book writings in our school days, while we drenched in rains. Wonder how it would be if we were like this guy. Perhaps nothing is mysterious until the mystery is unlocked. Another question that lingers in one mind is how do astronauts write in space? Quick reply to all these questions is SPACE PEN. Let's see what is Space pen and its mechanisms.

It is said that NASA has spent millions of dollars to invent a pen that can work under Zero Gravity. Why usual pens won't work under zero g? Well, a pen needs gravity to be pointing in the direction of your writing angle to make the ink flow onto the paper. You can try this by writing with your pen upside down. It was Paul C Fisher who first invented a pen that can work under Zero g, underwater, greasy surface etc. He named it Fisher Space Pen. Even after his invention, NASA performed thousands of test to use it as a space pen.

Space pen works on the fact that the Nitrogen gas pressurizes at 240 kpa the ink fluid placed in between Tungsten Carbide ball and Sliding float(See picture).  Space pen is three times more reliable and powerful than a standard ball point.. Operating temperatures range from −30 to 250 °F (−35 to 120 °C). The pen has an estimated shelf life of 100 years.

Swissair Flight 111 - Most expensive Accident Investigation

It was a dense night take off for Swissair Flight 111 on Wednesday, 2 September 1998. The Swissair Flight 111, was scheduled at 20:18 (GMT) from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, US to Cointrin International Airport in Geneva, Switzerland. All the passengers are lodged in and the monster plane is ready to take off. The airliner performed its phenomenal duty to its best level. Take off, gaining speed and height was on smooth surface. Then the trouble began. At first the aircraft experienced an unexpected thirteen minute radio blackout. The cause was later determined to be due to an error in the tuning of the
communication radios. Just after 2 hours of take off, the flight crew was alarmed by an odour in the cockpit and determined it to be smoke from A/C system. Immediately the Air Conditioning system was shut down to neutralize the situation.  Few minutes later, the odour and the smell returned again and smoke was visible. The pilots then began to divert the journey to a near-by airport calling it an emergency landing, but failed.

Despite of all the efforts by pilots and crews, the disaster cannot be averted. The situation was as if the plane being strapped in a blackhole.
Just 20 mins after this blackout, the aircraft began crashing down to the ocean shattering into millions of pieces. The rescue operation was kick started immediately.The rescue operation was completely futile and useless, as no survivors were noted in disaster. Around 227 people on board died. Most of the people are American, France, Swiss. What makes this disaster a highest rated and notable is the reason behind this catastrophic event. Even black boxes and other witnessing instruments did not give satisfactory answers to reaveal the mystery of this disaster. As the plane got plunged into millions of small pieces, the task was really tedious and irritating. It took around 5 years to excavate the lurking truth, with an estimated amount of $48.5 million, making it the most expensive transport investigation ever made.

Alcatraz - Making prisoners blood run cold

One of the top deadliest prisons in the world, Alcatraz played its own role during its period. It is one of the most secure and weirdest prison no one had ever seen. If someone managed to escape from that prison successfully, he has no more less power than a dark evil which ever existed in this universe. Alcatraz holds only the inmates who are criminals and managed to escape from other ordinary prisons around the state. It's no prison of easy talking. The prison is in an Island called Alcatraz Island situated in San Fransisco, California, United States.

This prison has several cells, in which each individuals are kept in separate cells, isolating them from one another. Prisoners are allowed to collate together during their lunch. They take bath once in a week. They are allowed to read books, painting and other skillful stuff like that. Here comes the toughest part; If any of the inmates are found creating chaos in and around, they are locked up for several days in separate dark rooms, with not even a tiny particle of light to disturb their skin.This clearly describes the level of dreadful punishments the inmates suffer when they breach the prison rules.

Although Alcatraz was closed soon due to high expense it has to do on prisoners to keep them intact. In its 29 years of operation, there were 14 attempts to escape from Alcatraz prison involving 36 inmates.No one did succeed. Either they are shot dead or captured soon after the breakout. But it is mind blowing that 3 of the inmates managed to escape without alarming any security issue. Frank Morris, John  Anglin and Clarence Anglin broke loose the security assets and escaped, but believed to be drowned underwater during their perilous swim journey from Island to the coast. But no evidence are alive to prove their existence or their destruction. It's a quite mystery as to how they managed to get out from escape proof prison.

Sailfish - The Legend of Speed

What's the speed of the world's best swimmer ?  May be 50 m in a time of 20.94s(Speed 8.568 kmph), a record by Frédérick Bousquet; also by legend of swimming Michael Phelps breaking 200m freestyle in 1.42 min (Speed 8.424 kmph). We feel these speeds are really too low, 'cause we are familiar only with speed of vehicles and not the speed of swimmers or fishes. It's actually has great magnitude for human scale. Have you ever paid your heed over the speeds of fishes? Well, the probability is too low. In fact, not even me. Let's know about speed of fishes, and who holds the gold medal for ground breaking speeds in aquatic life.

The fastest known fish is Sailfish. Sailfish grows very quickly upto 1.2-1.5 mtrs long. They can cover 100m in just 4.8 seconds with a speed of 110 kmph(68 mph). That's almost the speed of an average normal vehicle. These fishes weigh about 90 kg.

Are you scared of "deadly crocodiles"? Well, its quite obvious that each one of us are really scared of it. But its a thing of easy going for Egyptian Plover(Called Crocodile Bird). This bird would rather tweet you saying "Hey!, you better delete the word 'deadly', replacing it by 'friendly'". Its the fact that there is a symbiotic bond between crocodiles and Plover bird. Crocodiles sits along the shores with its mouth open wide, while these Plovers fly into the crocodiles mouth, cleaning bits of meat wastes lodged in between its teeth. It's natural phenomenon that happens. Neither the Crocodile nor the bird hurt each other.

We humans use tooth paste, brush etc to square away germs from our teeth. But crocodiles uses nature's beauty and availability as its lonely opportunity to get its mouth washed out. Being a ferocious animal, it has its own relationship with Egyptian Plover. Crocodile's unwanted prickly meat is an ever prepared delicious food for Plover birds.

Value of one bitcoin - Unbelievable

Just imagine that the government of India declares that there is no value for Rs notes/coins at all from next moment on. What would you do? Just rush to a shopkeeper and try to give out all the money you have? Doesn't look quite impressive. Shopkeeper just discards your request and he wouldn't accept your money. The next thing you do is that, you need some mode of exchange to get your daily basic needs. To do this, you gotta follow old torn out but also evergreen method i.e exchanging one type of goods with another. Now you can provide the shopkeeper some of your utilities and get some other product in return as you need. In the same way is what the bitcoin works. It's just independent of your country, your currency and believed to be the futuristic mode of exchange. No one in any part of the world would reject bitcoin then. The hungry for bitcoin is already in its full swing. Although its virtual, it has its own value.

Before 2011, the value of one bitcoin was just $0.30, but rose to $32 in 2011, roughly 107% increase in its value in just period of months!!! US$266 in 2013, slumped to around $50 after few days. US$1135 at the end of 2013, just three days later  the value fell to US$693. As you can observe a drastic ups and downs in the value, its not quite easy to predict its value at any instant. It depends on time, demand, usage etc. As per today's(04/May/2014) review the value of one bitcoin is $431.6 . And may increase or decrease in just few hours of time.

I know its quite odd, but this is what it is. The basic food that we consume today are made of these dreadful elements which suffocated one to death!! But not to be terrified. The amount of radiation evolved doesn't harm your body's metabolism at all. Many food items emit these radiations, primitive being the banana.

Bananas emit radioactive radiations due to the presence of radioactive isotope potassium-40 (⁴⁰K). The amount of radiation evolved in a banana is measured by a separate unit called Banana Equivalent Dose (BED), defined as the additional dose a person will absorb from eating one banana. Whereas the common usual unit used in measuring radioactive decay is Becquerel (Bq) . The radioactivity range of banana as you bite it with your teeth or slice it into pieces with a knife is around 30-31 Bq/g; meaning that in one gram of banana, only 30-31 atoms will decay every second. That's too low for any human being to get blasted like Hiroshima and Nagasaki lands.

Other vegetables/fruits that emit radioactive radiations are potatoes, kidney beans, sunflower seeds, and nut. All these have potassium-40 (⁴⁰K) in common as radioactive element. But a small amount of radium in some cases.

Docking is nothing but the removal of an animal's (Dog here) tail. Docking is not allowed in many countries. But in some others they are as free as you feel. The best reason for cropping is to make dogs look pretty attractive or maybe aggressive depending on type of dog and its style. The  reason behind docking is that too long tails disturbs the routine work and makes each job very irritating.

The Rain Room - It's raining but you won't get wet!!

Voyager 1- The oldest and farest cousin from Earth!!!

The main objective of this satellite is to do that. It tries to dig out the edge, even nook and corner, distance off the solar system trying to seek out the ever lurking life of extraterrestrials .  VOYAGER-1 a special space probe launched in Sept 5, 1977 by NASA.
